ICON POLICY~
Oct. 8th, 2015 01:51 amFor some reason I've decided to be really weird about my icon policy for Sans, and I figured I probably had to put this explanation somewhere.
Right now I'm being very, very, very picky about the icons I upload for Sans. All of his fanart icons are drawn and iconed by me. Right now I feel really uncomfortable using other artists' fanart, even if I were to get explicit permission to use it. I'm not 100% sure why this is, but I'm guessing it's because this is the first time I've taken pride in being able to make my own art and icons for a character. This whole journal is very personal to me and I want to make it the best I can via my own original work!
Likewise, all of my icons that are screenshots from the game? I took those screenshots and made icons from them myself. I did not get them from other videos taken of the game. Without getting into spoilers, if you don't know much about Undertale, just know that it wasn't easy. (And even on a technical level, apparently Undertale's engine Gamemaker really hates direct screenshots, so it was a huge goddamn pain to set up in the first place.)
So for this reason if you're wondering why my icon collection is growing a bit slowly, or why I'm not using more of the FANTASTIC Sans fanart floating around, this is why.
I also have some policies for other people using any of the icons in my gallery:
⇒ For any of my fanart icons: please do not use them without my explicit permission. Odds are, I won't care, I'll let you do it. Heck, I'd be more than happy to! I just want to make sure my fanart icons are being used by people that care enough to ask, rather than by people who'll just take them and only MAYBE assign credit. Not to mention I don't have the proper credit for them (linking back to my art blog) cited on my icon list anyway so it'd be impossible to assign proper credit WITHOUT asking.
⇒ For any of my screenshot icons: use them freely, so long as you please, please credit them back to this account.
